OreMax¶
Ore Stockpile Management Software for Smarter Mining Operations.
OreMax turns long-term stockpiles into auditable, resource-grade models, so resource geologists and mine planners can make confident decisions without relying on assumptions.
What it does¶
- Maximizes confidence in stockpile reserves with quantified uncertainty, not averages.
- Reveals missing or misrouted material early to accelerate reconciliation.
- Improves blending and long and medium-term plans by using high-resolution stockpile truth.
What's broken today¶
Black-box stockpiles. Stockpiles are represented by coarse, unvalidated averages instead of dynamic models.
Fragmented history. Ore movement data is stuck in spreadsheets, legacy systems, and tribal knowledge.
Invisible uncertainty. Uncertainty is not quantified, making precise plans behave unpredictably in reality.
How OreMax works¶
Inputs. OreMax works with data you already have:
- Resource and grade control models: grade, lithology, hardness, and other geometallurgical properties
- Ore movement records: time, origin, and destination data
- Stockpile surveys: surfaces and volumes
Outputs. What users receive:
- High-resolution stockpile block models (granular representation, quantified confidence)
- Ore movement reports (origin, destination, attributes)
- Auditable stockpile inventories (tonnes plus key ore attributes)
- Reclamation scenario analysis tool
OreMax supports daily, weekly, and monthly workflows.
Deployment workflow¶
- Configure stockpile geometry, material rules, and data sources.
- Upload historical and current block models, surveys, and records.
- Baseline a high-resolution, auditable starting point.
- Ingest automatically as new movements arrive.
- Review misplacements, gaps, and emerging risks.
Top KPIs impacted¶
| KPI | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Inventory accuracy, granularity, confidence | Measurable improvement in understanding the stockpile resources |
| Misplacement detection / reduction | Earlier identification of misrouting or misdumps |
| Time savings, geology department | 20 to 80 hours per week saved |
Case story¶
A gold mine's stockpile averages suggested only low-grade inventory was available. OreMax built a granular model with confidence estimates.
- 0.1 Mt of unaccounted medium-to-high grade ore identified
- US$11M estimated recovered value for near-term reclamation
